The Waitress Who Calls Me Daddy

I knew the waitress was flirting with me.

I also knew better.

She was much younger, dangerously confident, and far too interested in a married father who should have finished his steak, ignored his brother’s terrible advice, and gone home.

Instead, one reckless encounter at Smith’s Steakhouse gives me a very good reason to remember Tiffany.

I tell myself it was a one-time mistake.

Then I get home and discover my wife has been making mistakes of her own.

She’s away in Key West with our teenage kids, and my daughter just caught her mother kissing another man. Suddenly the marriage I thought I was protecting looks very different, and Tiffany is texting me with an invitation I have absolutely no business accepting.
